GRANTED PROJECTS

C

AutoANT Project

Ant Machines develop automated heavy-duty robots for yard operations. They address the issues of driver shortage, sustainability, and operational efficiency and are intend to replace conventional terminal trucks to make intralogistics more environmentally friendly and resilient. They will address the Challenge 8: Automation for the optimization of intra-factory logistics, with the support of Flanders Make.

MAS-AI Project

In the MAS-AI project by Spin-Robotics, they develop a fully operational mobile screwdriving platform to demonstrate both assembly and dis-assembly of products. The increasing focus towards re-manufacturing and automation of dismantling of products, requires new safe collaborative dis-assembly technologies. Spin-Robotics will work closely with ST Microelectronics,  implementing ST Artificial Intelligent solutions (Building Block 3).

handful project

Tackles one of the main challenges in the production machines/tools sector, specifically in the food industry: improving working conditions in terms of human safety, stress, and well-being, since workers are responsible for controlling machines and tools to produce food products. This project will will use Building Block 23 ‘Manual Task recognition’ supported by CEA.

AIWELD Project

The AIWELD project integrates AI with traditional practices and experts’ knowledge to transform radiography testing (a process that relies on human experience and skills) into an objective decision support system fully integrated in the industrial weld quality control process. Supported by Mondragon, they will use Building Block 16 ‘Deep Learning based Industrial Quality Inspection Methodology’.

maniac project

Develops the Manufacturing Analytics Copilot, which continuously analyses process parameters from machines, robots and assembly lines in real-time. It automatically detects relevant situations and creates “Data Stories”, which shop floor workers can use to quickly understand problems and prioritize maintenance. MANIAC targets Flanders Make Building Block 13 ‘Predictive Maintenance’.

project Talos

With this project, EUREKA SYSTEM and ELIF LAB, address Challenge 9 ‘Enhanced digital planning to optimize the execution of the tasks of production operators’, combining expertise in industrial automation and AI for a paradigm shift in manufacturing. They will be mentored by INEGI to facilitate their digital transformation integrating their building block 14 ‘Data operationalization methodologies’.

manuvised project

RoboTwin focuses on easy robot teaching. Manufacturers need a reliable, user-friendly solution integrated into production systems. Manuvised meets this need. With IKERLAN’s support via their Building Block 5 ‘Robot Intelligent Control’ , RoboTwin benefits from expertise in real-time robot control, deep learning algorithms, and hardware integration.

Orion Project

The ORION project addresses robotic assistance for heavy-duty tasks by enhancing robotic inspection systems with IoT solutions for data analysis and AI for decision-making. It places operators at the center of decision-making. ENDITY Solutions will receive support from Mondragon, leveraging their Building Block 16, “Deep learning-based industrial quality inspection methodology.”

SensorStack Project

PUMACY Technologies is developing SensorStack, an intelligent wearable sensor system using fiber-optic sensors, IMUs, and AI-driven analytics, transforming humans into smart components of semi-automated assembly environments; providing real-time recommendations via XR headsets. Building Block 12, ‘Mixed Reality for Operator,’ will be integrated with support from Flanders Make.

Lever Project

Targeting ‘Robotic Assistance for Heavy Duty,’ the project aims to integrate compliance control algorithms and sensorized smart handles into high-payload robots. LEVER’s approach enhances human-robot collaboration for safer and more effective heavy object manipulation. Supported by IKERLAN and their Building Block ‘Robot Intelligent Control,’ they will incorporate real-time control, a hardware-agnostic interface, and advanced sensors.
